Rather than post-bonding a rim around a flat or lenticular disc, we've incorporated our patented toroidal rim shape and used our proprietary M2CM technology to increase strength while reducing drag around the interface of aluminum and carbon. For long course triathletes, the bulged cross-section offers a comfortable vertical compliance that can reduce fatigue during long stretches in the saddle.

At just 936g with a cassette hub, the 900 is more than light enough for the hilliest triathlon or time trial courses. Swap the road setup for a track configuation, and the same wheel is ready for action at the highest levels of the sport. Now that's versatility.

In the center of the aero "sweet spot" – a wind angle of 12 to 18 degrees – the Zipp Sub-9 was the first wheel ever to produce forward lift, when paired with our 21mm Tangente tire.
